Paramour of the Whirlwind

Drawing on the practice of tulpamancy, or the process of manifesting a shadow-self through speech and gesture, Colin Self's three-hour durational performance 'Paramour of the Whirlwind' combines deftly choreographed aspects of monologue, poetry and song with physical corollaries for the alter-selves in life-sized puppet harnesses by Ari Níelsson.
